The First Chapter:
The chosen one
The year is the 1400s once there is a village called a
northern toad, and there are two different families from this village that just
got the blessing of having a daughter and a son. Their names are Ryan and
Elise. Ryan lives with only his father, and Elise lives with her grandma. Ryan's
father is an Adventurer, so Ryan sleeps at Elise's house when Ryan's Father
goes out adventuring. They have known
each other since they were four years old. Elise and Ryan are not that close
because they never talk even though they sleep in the same house. At one time,
other kids In the village bullied Elise, and Ryan stood up for her. He gets beaten
up because Ryan can't fight four kids simultaneously.
Elise then tells Ryan to stop helping her and just run, but
Ryan gets mad when Elise says that, and he says he will never leave a woman who
gets hurt. When Ryan said that, Elise became self-conscious about him more. After
that day, Elise acted weird towards Ryan,
as she tried to get close to Ryan, but Ryan didn't like how she acted.
Ryan still acts cold to her. And one day, there was a rumor about a monster
sneaking into villager houses. The rumor made Elise scared, she tried to sleep
with her grandma, but her grandmother told her to sleep in her own room. She
said It's just a rumor. In the middle of the night, Ryan hears someone whispering
his name outside his room. He gets shivers because of that, then he makes
himself brave and opens the door to find out who is calling him. He sees Elise,
who was whispering his name. Ryan then
asks what she is doing this late-night calling him.
Elise asks Ryan if she can sleep together with him, then
Ryan tells her to go back to her room because the monster is just a rumor, but
Elise begins to cry because she is still scared about the rumor. Ryan tries to
stop her crying because her grandma is sleeping, and Ryan's only choice is to
allow Elise to sleep with him. He allows Elise to sleep with him, but it's only
for this night, Ryan says. Elise stopped her cry and went inside his room. He
pulled his blanket for Elise. She kept smiling and thanking him for letting her
sleep with him, Ryan who saw her smile got him embarrassed. Ryan told her it was fine. He tells her to
sleep because it's already night. But then Elise asks Ryan to hold her hand
because she still feels scared. Ryan gets angry a little bit because she is
already asking him too much, but seeing Elise's face almost cry again, he
accepts her request. Her face that was scared became more relaxed. Before she
tries to sleep, Elise says that she is happy she got Ryan by her side and went
to sleep. Ryan is going to remember that forever. After that day, Elise and Ryan sleep together
in the same room when Elise is scared sleeping alone. Even though Ryan hates
it, he can't refuse her.
Elise loves to read books in the village's library, and not
everyone in the village can read. So the library is kind of abandoned. So she
asks Ryan to accompany her to read. But Ryan can't read, so what is the point of
going to the library for him. Elise then has an idea that she will tell him
interesting books she can find. Ryan accepts the deals, Elise finds a book with
an interesting story about the world's history. She explains that in this
world, there are five titles. The titles mean someone who holds the most potent
power and wisdom in this world. The titles are sword god, supreme Sorcerer,
hero, water god, wind god, Dragonborn. Those five titles come from the story of
the first hero who saves the world from Azaloth the forgotten king. Azaloth was
once a king who tried to find immortality, the immortality itself cost his humanity
devoured. He became greedier. After he lost his humanity, he began treating his
own people as a lifeless thing. His people began to worry and felt that the
king was changing, so they started treason to turn his throne down. The king's
wrath is stamping on those who try an act of treason, so he starts killing his
people, many people escaping from the kingdom. Azaloth then has a malicious
idea to start conquering the world instead. For many years Azaloth succeeded in
conquering half of the world. But fortunately, in this world, there must be
cause and effect. If dark exists, then light exists. If there are lives, then
there are also deaths. So with Azaloth existence, there are also heroes. With
the rise of heroes. They are uniting the world to stop him. And they are the
first five titles holder. Many wars have been fought many people have fallen.
They finally defeat Azaloth the forgotten king. but they can't kill him because
the power of immortality can not perish, and to stop the madness forever, they
sealed him inside the earth's core with their power. And to seal it forever,
they need to pass down their titles and legacy to their pupils. And it has been
100 years since then, and the third generation of the tittles has passed down.
After listening to the story. Ryan wants to hold the hero titles, but he never
wins against his bullies. Then Elise tells him that he is already a hero. She
said Ryan is her hero. Ryan appreciates Elise's comfort. She said that she never wanted to leave Ryan's
side. Ryan then comforted her by promising her that he wouldn't leave her side.
After that, there is an awkward silence and smiles between them, but Elise stops it with her laugh by teasing
Ryan's red blushing face. Ryan tells her that she also has a red face. They
both laugh together, this is the start of the friendship between the chosen one
and his partner. Since that day, Ryan and Elise have played together every day.
In the day, they read books together at the library, and in the night, they go
to the villages tavern that usually has adventurers pass by the villages, and
that's when Ryan knows his dad returns home. In the tavern, they listen to the
adventurer singing their adventure stories. Some of the adventurers sometimes
tease Elise, but Ryan comes to the rescue. Those adventurers love to see Ryan's
reaction. As time flew by, they got
older. Ryan works on the farm to gain some money helping Elise's grandmother,
and Elise works as a teacher for the villagers. They are already 17 years old, learning
about how the world works. And one night, when Elise and Ryan visit the tavern,
some adventurer comes to them with a sad face. And Ryan recognizes one of them
as his father's adventure partner. Ryan got a bad feeling. He was right. His
father died protecting a villager from a horde of monsters. As he heard the
news. His body became cold. He was in
shock that he didn't have any reaction at all. He tells them to stop teasing
him. And it's not funny anymore. He tried to punch the adventurer and begged to
stop teasing him. The tavern becomes silent watches them fight. Elise tries to
stop and calm him down by hugging him. He then cried on Elise's shoulder. He
couldn't believe that his father had left him forever. His father always comes
home twice a week to play with him. Ryan always loves to play with his father
by training swordsmanships. Before he knew his father's death, his father
promised Ryan that he would teach him the sword god techniques, remembering
that Ryan ran to his house, leaving Elise behind. Elise tries to find him to
comfort him. She finds him inside his room while holding his father's clothes.
Elise comes inside his room. Ryan tells Elise if his father promised, he would
return home. His father promised that he would always stay by his side. All
Elise can do is tell him that she is here with him. She tells him that she will
always be by his side. That night Elise
and Ryan sleep together while hugging to calm Ryan down. After that night,
Elise wakes up alone. She then goes outside to find Ryan. She finds Ryan nearby
the lake. She watches him sitting doing nothing. She sits beside him and asks
him what he is doing. He tells Elise that he wants to become an adventurer.
After hearing that, Elise gets shivers. She is scared, knowing that Ryan will
leave her alone in this village. But Ryan says he will leave her in this
village alone if he becomes an adventurer, so he throws that idea. Elise then
feels relieved and guilty at the same time. But because she is a good friend she
tells him that she will be fine. She wanted him to be free and do what he
wanted. She knew that he wanted to become a hero. Ryan then appreciates her
support to become an adventurer. Out of nowhere, Elise confessed to Ryan that
she loved him. Ryan turns his face confirming what she just said, watching
Elise's embarrassed face. Ryan becomes speechless after hearing that because he
always toughs Elise as one of his family and has no romantic feelings. She
explains to him that she adores him. How he has always been by her side, how he
always stood up for her, how Ryan protected her from other adventurers from teasing
her, how he acts when she teases him.
Ryan's face becomes redder, and he asks her to stop. He gets it. Elise
laughs, watching his face. but Ryan then asks her to give him some time to
answer her confession. She gets it that he needs time after what just happened
to him. Many things just happened, and Ryan is still a teenager after all.
After that, Ryan and Elise walk home together to eat breakfast in her house and
go back to work again. It's almost night, and they finish their jobs. This
night they are not going to the tavern. They are sitting in front of Ryan's
house. Elise, the whole day was waiting
for Ryan's answer. They both sit in silence, watching the night's sky. Ryan
tries to find a conversation about how beautiful the night is. Wondering that
if they are going to get to watch a night sky like this again. When Elise talks
about how beautiful the night is, Ryan watches Elise's face as she explains how
beautiful the night sky is. He holds her hand. Elise then turns her face to him.
When Ryan is about to tell his answers, they see a huge explosion at the
tavern. They are worried and run to the tavern as fast as they can. Hearing
screams from other adventurers to run away, Ryan sees a horde of monsters
coming to the villages. Ryan tells Elise to find his grandma and run to the
forest. He says he has a house deep in the forest where Ryan and his father
train. She asks what about him. He tells her that he will go to his house to
find his father's sword, and Ryan promises he will find her in the forest. Elise
runs, leaving Ryan behind to find her grandma. She tells her grandma to run
with her to the forest because the villages are getting attacked by a horde of
monsters. As they get inside the forest,
Elise and her grandma feels something is not right. behind them, they see a
huge dragon attacking the village, and a huge explosion nears them. They stop
for a second, thinking about where Ryan is. She believes that Ryan is going to
be fine. He promises her that he will find her. Elise then asks her grandma to
keep running.
But her grandma stopped her and asked Elise what she was
thinking. There is no way that Ryan is going to be fine, said her grandma.
Elise cries and shouts at his grandma that he will be fine. He promises he will
find them. Her grandma watches her granddaughter crying, and all she can do is
agree. They run to the deep forest far away from the village. After all that
running makes her grandma unable to run anymore, Elise keeps asking her to run until
they find the house. But then her grandma saw a house that Ryan talks about. They
went to the house and hid there. They felt there were some magic spells around
the house to protect them. the village is still getting attacked, and Elise
prepares for weapons and keeps aware of the surrounding. Elise hopes that Ryan will soon find
her. three hours had just passed, the
horde roaring sound stopped. The creepy silence in the night keeps them awake.
Suddenly they hear a walking step noise. But they believe the magic barrier
will protect them. Then they heard the
front door open slowly as they were about to attack. It was Ryan, and blood was
covering him. When Ryan sees Elise and
her grandma are alive. He almost passed out in relief. Elise helps him to
stand. She sees Ryan's shoulder got stabbed. Elise asks who has done this. She
thinks that there is no way a monster could use a sword unless it's an
intelligent creature. Ryan tells her that it wasn't a monster. Someone is causing
the horde. He tells her that it was a
demon human-like. In the books she read, she remembers that azaloth's follower
is a demon human-like being. The return of Azaloth is impossible, the titles
holder pupils sealing him forever unless one of them is betrayed. But if it
happened, the kingdom should be spreading the news. But now they don't have
time to think about that right now. Elise and her grandmother try to find some
herbs and bandages in the house to heal Ryan's wound. While bandaging, Elise asks Ryan what
happened to him in the village. Ryan tells Elise what just happened to him.
When they were
separating, Ryan ran to his house, searching for his father's adamantium sword.
as soon as he got the sword and went outside. He sees a demon riding a
dragon. Ryan saw the demon turn looking
at him as he saw Ryan's sword. The demon hops down from the dragon's neck. it was 10.000 feet in the sky. The ground
shakes just from the demon drops down. When Ryan is about to do some swords
stance that his father teaches. The demon was already in front of him, about to
punch him. His punch hit Ryan's stomach and made him fling to the villager's
house. But miraculously, Ryan survived. He couldn't move his whole body. He
realized the demon had his father swords, he then shouted to the demon to give
his sword back, the demon was surprised that Ryan survived that punch, the
demon then teleported in front of Ryan and asked him if Ryan really wanted the
sword back, Ryan answered and threatened him to give his sword back, or he will regret
it. The demon smiled and said that he would give this sword slowly. Ryan got
confused about what he meant by that. The demon stabs his shoulder slowly,
causing Ryan to scream while coughing blood. The demon laughs hysterically while
hearing Ryan scream. Ryan spits his face with the blood from his mouth,
cleaning his face from Ryan's blood. The demon changed his face from smiling to
having multiple mouths with sharp teeth, Trying to devour Ryan's face. The
demon felt something was wrong with his waist. It was a pair of explosive traps
from his father's adventure resources he picked up.
Ryan then screams to
blow himself up to death with the demon. After that, everything went void
black, and then in that void, he saw an elderly man walking to him, then he
introduced himself that he was the first supreme Sorcerer. Still, Ryan doesn't
believe that he is the first supreme Sorcerer. That elderly shows him his power
by touching Ryan's foreheads. Ryan Wakes up flying in a spirit form and sees
the explosion's aftermath. he realizes the time has stopped because everything
is not moving. he saw his body still intact but blown away to the roof of the
village. And he sees the demon corpse scatters around the place. The demon
surely died. And then he sees a butterfly moving. He got curious and touched
the butterfly. After he touched the butterfly, everything became distorted
until he got teleported to another dimension. While wondering where he is. He
hears the elderly voice. He explains what Ryan sees right now is the dark dimension.
He explains that this is the actual place where Azaloth is sealed. Ryan said
that is not true. He knows that Azaloth is sealed in the earth's core. The
Sorcerer explains that the story of Azaloth sealed in the earth core is just a
deception for Azaloth's followers that trying to liberate their king. Then Ryan
asks why he is telling him about this important information about the true
location of the forgotten king.
The elderly explains that the rise of Azaloth is near, and he
is the chosen one. He has the destined to destroy Azaloth once and for all.
Ryan cuts the elderly explanation and tells him that it is impossible to do.
Azaloth is immortal, and he is currently sealed in that vast dark dimension. It
is impossible to kill Azaloth, and even he almost died just fighting one of the
king's followers. The old man says he
will understand soon that he is the chosen one. He tells Ryan to go to the
kingdom where the five titles holder lies protecting the seal. Only the titles
holder and He knows the truth. Ryan then asks if Elise can know the truth. The
supreme Sorcerer tells him he can tell whatever information he gets to her, she
is the one that will help him, and she is the one that can be trusted till your
last breath. Ryan asks him what titles he is going to hold. The Sorcerer said
he would not hold any titles because his power is beyond the five titles holder.
After the Sorcerer's explanation, Ryan felt something pulling his body. The Sorcerer
tells him it's almost time for him to wake up. Ryan asks him if he will meet
him again, but unfortunately, this will be the last time they will talk to each
other. Ryan's vision becomes dark. He wakes up at the villager's roof, seeing
the dragon is gone. The villages were destroyed, but there weren't any monsters. He then
remembers he promised to find Elise. Ryan ran as fast as possible. Hopes Elise
and her grandmother are alive.
